Eleven

Black Fruit Blend by Custom-Adagio Teas

Edging the line of quirky and dark, this tea is unfailingly sweet, and as strong as you could ask for.

sooo this is pretty much a coconut tea. There might be a hint of vanilla hanging around to cut the edge of the coconut but i am not picking up any of the apple bits. It’s not a bad tea but i was hoping for so much more from a “eleven” tea. Actually, stick dr who on anything and i want it to the best damn thing in this world. :) not bad, but not as wonderful as i hoped that it would be.

thanks again Terri!

sipdown backlog on this one as well. Still a very coconutty blend, which just doesn’t scream “eleven” to me but hey, to each their own :)

Just finally getting around to reviewing this, mainly because my son Drew made a pot of it to go with his breakfast & I pilfered a (small/stingy) cup from him. The main flavor is coconut, with black tea in the background & a little vanilla & a hint of apple. He spiked the whole pot with stevia, & it is sweet & pleasant, though maybe not as bold as I would like. Right now the coconut is making me think of suntan lotion a bit… :p

Yum! Thanks to Valerie for the sample!

I just realised that I like Assam teas, and while I don’t know what “Assam Melody” is in comparison, that doesn’t change that I like the base of this tea. The coconut makes it a bit creamy, while the apple and vanilla give it a bit of sweetness. It rolls around nicely in my mouth with each sip giving you a bit of a different flavour – - – I suppose that makes each sip as unpredictable as the Doctor. :O

The vanilla makes me think of Earl Grey too, which isn’t a bad thing.

I’m glad I got to try it, but I wouldn’t have bought it. Adagio teas are a bit too pricey, and I’d only be doing it for the pretty tin. (And $24 for a pretty tin is… sadly not worth it). On a sidenote, these are 6oz tins, so they must be a lot bigger than the ones from DavidsTea!

Oh – I noticed that 5 new people started following me in the last 24 hours. I don’t know what I’m doing, but HI! :D #NoPressureToBeEntertainingYIKES

Probably my least favourite Cara M blend, but still enjoyable. This came in a ‘ship’ with River Song, so I wonder what would happen if I combined the two next time I try it…

Okay so this is one of those teas where you can’t really get more than one steep out of it? It’s been steeping for about 7 minutes now and it’s only a very very very light amber colour. Welp. On the other hand, that means I might make it though the tin a bit quicker.

Btw, drinking this in my new Weeping Angel mug which my BFF Sam gave me for Christmas tonight!

couple drops of stevia and this was a very good brew this morning!
