Um… what?!
So I finally made a huge Della Terra order to see what the fuss is about and the fuss is 100% correct! I don’t know what DTT does differently, but wow does it make a perfect cup of flavoured tea! I’ve been making tons of lattes and adding cream and sugar and I feel like I’m spending $5 per cup at a fancy coffee/tea place!!!

I would love to say Cinnamon Bun is the best so far but honestly, they’re almost all good. I have learned to overleaf with helps in the flavour department (especially when I know I’ll be using real cream), but WOW is it ever delicious. When I smelled the steeping tea I had to stop and say “wow”. Then I took my first sip – I taste flaky, buttery dough, melty cinnamon sugar and some sort of sticky icing. This is the feeling I used to get when I first discovered DavidsTea! Although DavidsTea is easier for me to get tea from, Della Terra really did bring it up to another level. It’s simple, there’s not a lot of extra “bits” floating around DTT’s teas (unless they’re needed!) and delicious.

Really really glad I took the chance on you, Della Terra!!! Thanks for your delicious product.

Happy New Year everyone! Hope your new years teas are just as delicious.

welcome back lady! :) hope your new year is awesome

Love the eggy-bready notes in this cup! A definite difference to Pancake Breakfast, lovin it.

Happy Holidays hehe!

Used up the rest of my 25g for an iced latte.
It tastes like those mango smoothies from Tim Hortons with yogurt added. Not too shabby ;)

I won’t repurchase, but you served me well Pom Tango :)

Thanks Stacy for the delicious sample!
I’ve been shying away from rooibos, but Butiki lured me back ;)

Enjoying this one as a late night latte with milk and agave. It’s so darn creamy and smoooth. I’m still not feeling you rooibos – but with this flavour I can really enjoy this late night treat. aahhh

i should try this one sometime…

drank Tamarind Pop by Butiki Teas

I really took a chance with this one as I have no idea what a tamarind or tamarind pop tastes like!
It’s a good sturdy tea though, no fuss – pretty tasty! I just need to read the description again to see what it is I can look for!

I think when I ordered it I had the peach hoppitea/beer tea on my mind. I hope that one day I can get my hands on some of those because they just screeeeam summer to me. Fruity beer tea! YESPLS.

I had the same thoughts as I drank it: What the heck is tamarind supposed to taste like? But I liked it as well.

Butiki Teas

Oh yes, we will definitely have the beer teas coming out next. That is the big project I’m working on now.

OMG Butiki, beer teas?!?!? you’re killing me!!
finally i will have the perfect way to seduce all my homebrewer friends into tea! bwahahah!

Butiki Teas

Shmiracles-Yep. We are working on peach, apricot, raspberry, and oatmeal stout beer teas. Hahaha. :)

Beer tea?! And with all three of my favorite fruits…Sounds lovely. I will be buying that when it comes out.

I don’t even like beer, but that sounds yummy!

the stout is my spirit animal!!

MORE THAN ONE BEER TEA best day ever

I don’t care that it’s almost summer – I am SO so happy I picked up this tea. Oh yes.
It’s going to make an amazing iced tea, I just know it!
I’m drinking my Butiki like crazy – at least once a day, but once work slows down (will it ever slow down?) I want to take pictures and make proper blog posts – just revel in the amazing quality that is Butiki. I haven’t been this excited about tea since I first discovered DavidsTea 2 years ago! That’s saying a lot :)

Everything from Butiki is amazing! I need to make another order and this will be on it!
Iced hey, I wouldn’t have thought to try this tea iced!

I am super impressed!
This is a delicious blend that I am happy to drink plenty of. The raspberry flavour and bits is just perfect – very present, and will make a lovely iced tea if it finally stops snowing soon.

Soooo I got my Butiki Teas order (THANKYOUSTACYILOVEYOU!) and everything I’ve tried is SO good that I am thinking of selling all the teas I don’t care for in one big package. Just to make room for more Butiki.

No time to say more at the moment, but I’ll be back after work!

All I’ll throw in for now is that the base of this tea is amazing and the flavours perfectly blended. THANK YOU for a creamy chocolate orange tea that doesn’t taste like fish (sorry DavidsTea, your puerh leaves a lot to be desired). It’s just.. so.. perfect. Ahhhh

Marcel Duchamp

This is on my shopping list. Sounds so good!

Definitely worth it!

Marcel Duchamp

I haven’t placed a Butiki order yet but I loved the Cantaloupe & Cream so much, I think I need to this month. I know exactly what you mean about the fishy tastes of Puerh sometimes.

I love the DT tea, and I don’t get fishy leaves from the Pu Erh, but I’d love to try this too. It’s on my list. The Cantaloupe and Cream is so amazing. I can’t wait to order more, though I am hoarding the last bit I have from my sample, I think.

Daisy, funny you should mention that, I realize that so many of my favorite teas are now from Butiki that I totally loose interest in some other companies I used to order from on regular basis… I have a sample of this to try, tonight is the night :-)

So I went back on my blog to see when my review for Amore showed up – um – it didn’t. Gaaah. My blog is driving me nuts, doesn’t post when I tell it to, no facebook apps work anymore… and with that in mind I’m sipping this tea right now, re-writing the post – and the stress melts away. Hey, the name of this tea changed too so it’s due for a re-write!

Rose mojito is so fitting, off to ice it for pics!

EDIT: Oh maaaan I iced it with fresh mint and lime and sparkling water! Amaaaazing – and finally made sure that post was up and about: http://www.daisychubb.com/review-rose-mojito-by-the-persimmon-tree/

This is perfection.
I’m actually enjoying taking tea with me again, when drinking tea has become a chore when it gets cold and gross. If I want iced tea, I drink it cold, not tepid!

PERFECTION. I will be buying more.

and they are so easy to throw in the bottom of my bag! i can really trust the lid to stay secure. i wanna buy one for the whole world hah. xoxo

I’ve been thinking about picking up one of these. Where did you purchase yours? (You can PM me if you don’t want the whole Steepster world to see.)

Do you use the infuser on-the-go, and if so do you take it out to prevent oversteeping? Where do you put it?

i echo dinosara’s questions since i haven’t put much thought into this though i do love the design and i know kittenna loves hers

personally i do use the brewing basket occasionally. first i rest the lid with basket kinda tilted on the top of the cup and let it drain a long time and also let the basket cool off cuz it’s so hot to touch. then i’ll dump the basket into the garbage and rinse it in the sink in any old bathroom. but more often (for better or worse), i just brew with a disposable teabag and leave the basket at home, …cuz i’m in a hurry.

I love mine too! If it’s tea that I don’t really need to worry about oversteeping I just put it beneath the basket (like in the bottom of the mug). The basket is pretty useless for a lot of my teas because any little bits end up in your mouth, but this way definitely makes a difference! Usually I end up using it for iced instead of hot so I don’t need to worry much about oversteeping!

One tip if you use if for hot though is to leave some room at the top to add a little cold water, if not I find it stays scalding for basically the entire day!

I love this mug, it doesn’t leak andd stays hot! I use the brew basket and brew just like a normal cuppa. Unless it is a rooibos or herbal that can steep forever

I’m pretty stoked on it too, but it means I need to be organized enough to have my tea brewed before I go. Leaving them in the basket doesn’t seem to be an option unless it’s an herbal? IDK. I like a mug I can beat up on!

I don’t use the basket. The holes are too fine, and my tea tastes funky when steeped and held at practically boiling the whole time.

ALSO re:buying Timolinos: I forgot that I saw them advertised for sale on Tealux’s site for cheaper than at DT. And, I think new customers get a 15% off coupon code that does apply to teaware!

Oh! Oh well. I like the colours they have at DT’s more so I won’t feel too bad about missing the deal.

Bleh, I wish I had remembered to mention this somewhere. I should probably make a discussion board post about it…. but I’m lazy. DT’s colours are def better though. And that’s where I got both of mine (actually, my ex-bf’s mom bought the first one at either DT or Tea Desire, and I bought the second at my local DT).

It’s only 4 bucks cheaper at Tealux, I didn’t bother making an account just to see how much shipping would be, maybe someone else can chime in who isn’t lazy like me haha!

I brew my tea at home, so use the brewbasket (I like it, it’s the perfect size for the amount of tea that fits in the mug IMO) then take the tea and basket out after steeping. I leave the basket at home so far, I definitely wouldn’t keep a tea brewing in there because #1 it’s too hot, and #2 the bits would come through when you sip.

I find because the tea stays so hot (poifect for me, since I have to wait many hours until I get to sip!) I don’t run out of it before the end of the day. I get to savour it instead of chugging it back, which is how I prefer my hot tea anyways. Iced tea is a whole other story ;)

My only complaint about the Timolino is it’s size. 12 oz is just not big enough for me. I like a nice 16oz to go mug. Hopefully they will come out with a bigger one soon because I really love everything else about this mug.

Marcel Duchamp

I may break down and buy this. I need a good travel mug. Thanks for posting.

You can call me Daisy.

I’m a 24 year old (not so budding) thespian – just moved to the Maritimes from the Saskatchewan Prairies. I’m way too polite, aka Proud to be a Canadian. I love it here by the water – it must remind me of tea or something ;)

My favourite tea companies are DavidsTea and Verdant Tea. They please my palette in different ways – and I love them both for it.

My rating system is as follows:
95-100: I will stock it as soon as I can, if I haven’t already! Permanent collection worthy.

86-95: I would stock this tea if I could, but my collection is just too full to warrant it. But it is that good.

76-85: This is a tasty tea and I will have many cups and share with friends, but won’t go out of my way to keep it stocked.

50-75: It was alright! It was… alright! Not horrible, but I might not re-steep.

25-50: Ew. But I will finish the cup.

1-25: Please no, I want to dump it.

The Steepster community is my safe place. Thank you to all my tea friends!

<3 Daisy
