Official *What did you get in the mail today?* Thread!!!

I got a gift package from very generous Steepster member who wants to stay anonymous. Thank you so much, i love them all. cant wait to try;)

Being new to this site and fairly new to being more “serious” about tea drinking (as in a few cups a day as opposed to my prior habit of “I’ve got to have at least one option at Starbucks since I don’t drink coffee”), I went a little overboard this week with buying tea because…well…I really had no stash to speak of.

On Thursday night, I got my order from Adagio with 11 different sample pouches. I also got an order from Amazon to which I had added some tea (Numi Organic Tea Collection Sampler, Harney & Sons Paris, and Numi Organic Savory Garden Sampler).

On Friday night I got my order from Harney & Sons with Chinese Flowers, Black Currant, Pomegranate Oolong, Winter White Earl Grey, a travel tin of Tower of London, and samples of Sally’s Secret, Fruits d’Alsace, and Indian Nimbu.

I’ve got 3 flavors of 52teas coming next week as well.

I’m a touch overly-excited about just how much variety there is in tea :)

Today I received my swap in the mail from the incredible Sarsonator. I got a variety of blacks, and puerhs, and oolongs.

A classmate sent me some Lupicia samples.

I had an amazing mail day. With being gone on vacation for three mail days, and forgetting to ask the cat sitter to get the mail from the box, the mailbox was filled to the brim. It included FOUR different packages of tea.

1) rolled pu-er balls from Misty Peak
2) Bolder Breakfast sachets (to make up for the mistakenly sent Boulder Blues) and a few extra samples
3) Simple Loose Leaf subscription box
4) Tea at Sea Indonesian Oolong and Green, and the Yunnan sampler.

Along with the assorted bills and such there way no more room in the box. It kind of looked like only two days worth of mail, so maybe we didn’t get Saturday’s mail….

Eeee! I got my What-Cha order today. So very many 10g samplers of teas, including my first yellow teas and purple varietals. I love that the packaging has specific directions and tasting notes, and the hand written note from Alistair was a really nice touch. :) Super excited to try these. :D

Squee! Isn’t it just like Steepster people to cheer me up on a grumpy day with their swap packages? I came home to no fewer than three little happy packages waiting for me!

MzPriss sent me a surprise sample of Mandala’s 2013 Daxue Five Century Raw Puer! I guess she saw my comments stating that I wanted to try it! Thanks so much, dear. :)

I got MJ’s swap package with Crio Bru Cavalla, Second Breakfast (“for experiments” HA HA), Rivendell, Li Shan Black, Kiwi, Cookie, Neptune, Momo Oolong, and Napa Blanc! And she went and bought me a huge 4 ounce bag of Minnesota Blend, which fits perfectly into my cute pompom tin! So happy, thanks MJ!

Finally, I got Roswell Strange’s swap package of the David’s fall collection teas! She sent 20g (wow!) of Pumpkin Chai, Maple Sugar, Sweet Apple Cider, and Snickerdoodle. She also included bonus samples of Kiwi’s Big Adventure and Hot Lips, and some super cute glittery Halloween stickers which will now grace my swap packages for a while! Thanks, Roswell, love you. :D

I got my Taiwan Clay Teapot in the mail today, a one of the kind piece, from Purepuer.com. I also got my new cha he from them.

I got a zhenghe Gongfu tea from an aliexpress dealer. I was a little hesitant at first as almost all of the pictures of the black teas the dealer sold were the same at the time I purchased it, but the price was really good at the time. 3.99/100g. I got my Silk Road Teas order: Black Cloud, Black Fragrance Rare, Plum Blossom Fragrance (Mi Lan Xiang), Yixing Teapot – 5 oz (it was only $9 so we will see how good it is).
