Popular Tasting Notes
I don’t know why I was so hard on this tea at first. Had it last night and got a wonderful mix of vanilla icing and juicy mango slices with a light hint of the camomile base. Still not exactly mango lassi, but I can see the resemblance. Absolutely boosting my rating here.

Preparation
I love Earl Grey tea in general, and I love the Creme versions for a standard cuppa. Point Loma Tea is run by a wonderful woman who gets the teas from a certified fair trade vendor and hand-blends the teas and it shows. I love this tea from an Earl Grey standpoint, and I like it from the Creme standpoint. I would buy and drink this again.
The loose leaf smells citrusy and slightly creamy and medium strength. When brewed, it opens up and the bergamot comes out a bit more, but the creaminess is still there. It tastes a bit more mild in the cream and the bergamot is the forefront flavor.
Preparation
This tea was quite the disappointment. The eucalyptus was so overwhelming, especially in combination with the sour/tart hibiscus and citrus flavors. I thought the apple and carrot would lend some sweetness to the blend and temper it a bit. It didn’t. I only steeped it once for iced tea. I couldn’t finish the glass and promptly re-homed the blend.
Every insomniac needs to keep at least 100g of this stuff in their cupboard. A foolproof sleep aide, needs no sweetener but smells of honey and flowers, and will have you dozing in 30 minutes or so. A little messy to clean out as the flowers disintegrate into a mushy powder with each steep. And, if you don’t like chamomile – which is a category I definitely fall into – you’ll love this. Take it from me.

Allergy attack! Throat hurts like crap and my sense of smell just walked out the door thanks to runny nose barging in. This tea seems appropriate for, I don’t know, colds and stuff in general so here’s to hoping it helps some.
The dry tea…smells very potent. The ginger and lemongrass is strong to the point it makes me want to sneeze. I never had honeybush so I’m not sure what it smells like, but anyway it seems to be covered by the ginger and lemongrass.
The brew has a slight honey smell thats similar to when you add honey to hot water. I’m getting more hopeful by the second here…
The flavor is surprisingly milder than expected. The ginger is soft, unlike the smell, and only has a slight sting/burn to it. I’m also getting the lemony taste from the lemongrass here, and it sort of freshens things up a bit, making this taste lighter. The honeybush…I’m not sure what that is supposed to taste like but I’m getting a sweetness here which I’m assuming is the honeybush.
After drinking this, my throat has become slightly better and I can actually breathe through my nose again. Really soothing tisane, great for stuffy noses and sore throats. It’s now my official go-to cold tea!
This was sampling at my local DT yesterday when I went in, and I didn’t have enough of it to truly taste, I don’t think. That said, I did enjoy the spicy flavour – I seem to have a thing for ginger and or/chai-inspired teas right now – odd, considering that this is supposed to be spring. Oh well!
