Popular Tasting Notes
So I was feeling adventurous and picked up a box of Hojicha Bancha from T2. I’ve only had a few cups so far, but this stuff is good! The scent of the dry leaves was so toasty and earthy that I actually freaked out for a moment, but I’m beginning to really appreciate it. Earthy is a good thing, yeah? Water drowns out the intense aroma anyway, so you have nothing to worry about. This stuff is so wonderfully toasty and clean that I would have no trouble drinking it every day, which I’m pretty sure I’ll end up doing. It also seems to leave some kind of sweetness in the back of my throat – not sure if it’s just me, but it is really nice!
Preparation
Tastes almost too good for a strong breakfast blend. My new favorite blend for breakfast. Gonna take my upton irish breakfast to work for caffeine and keep this one for my mornings. Need to compare this with the lose leaf twinning irish breakfast to finally decide the best breakfast for me.
Preparation
A friend of mine had this at work and offered me some. There are hints of orange and lemon under the green tea flavor, however it does lack versus the stronger citrus aroma. Still, it’s a pretty good go-to tea given its price and availability.
Preparation
This is my favorite tea from Gong Fu. I brew it for a short period and add a tiny amount of honey to sweeten it just a bit – it’s delicious without the honey, too, though.
Flavors: Creamy, Honey, Vanilla
Preparation
This is the tea equivalent of that fireball candy you ate as a kid. There is black tea in it, but all I taste is cinnamon. It’ll clear out your sinuses maybe, but… It’s not really my kind of tea. I’d rather drink a chai with a more balanced flavor.
Flavors: Cinnamon, Spicy
Preparation
THIS IS SOME GOOD FUCKING TEA. PRETTY FUCKING MELLOW AND SMOOTH, TRADITIONAL TYPICAL TEA FLAVOR ALL IN YOUR MOUTH.
DRINK IT IN THE MORNING. IN THE AFTERNOON. WHENEVER THE HELL YOU WANT TEA.
IT’S FROM MOTHEFUCKING KENYA, ISN’T THAT SWEET?
