2686 Tasting Notes
Hmm I like this one, but I’m definitely not picking up on the subtleties other reviewers are. To me, it tastes like a mild black. Not bitter. I can tell that it’s supposed to be flavored like something, but I can’t tell what the something is. Maybe mildly fruity. Thanks to Cameron B for this one.
Got this one from Cameron B. I really like it! It tasted like almond with no bitterness. I do wish I’d gotten more of a pecan pie feel from it, but it was very enjoyable. I’d drink this fairly often if I had more! A nice light flavor. Nutty teas are the best.
Reading multiple positive reviews, it makes me feel like the crazy one, but this tea has a much too strong chemical ater taste for my liking. What I did was mix it together with a tin of plain red rooibos I had, and together, they taste very nice. I like the peach flavor; it just needs more rooibos to overpower the chemicals.
I’ve actually had several teas lately where the artificial flavoring had a “metallic” sort of aftertaste to me (from Adagio and others) so I think I know exactly what you are talking about when you say it tastes chemical. I’m wondering if there is a certain brand of flavorings that my palate is sensitive to, and they are getting used way too strongly…
This kind of tastes like caramel popcorn. Not really getting the maple. Yeah, this is the kind of tea I enjoy trying a sample of but would be fine with never having again. I prefer Oh Canada, which actually tastes like Maple and is pleasant enough to have frequently. But I guess I could leave a separate review about that.
This has a light melon/vegetal taste. It’s actually better with less sugar than I usually put in. It’s so hard to assign a number value to this one since I only had a sample (kindly provided by Cameron B). This is definitely one to try. Different from other melon teas I’ve had. Probably more accurate to actual melons than to what melon flavored candies etc usually taste like.
Tastes like popcorn, that’s for sure! I don’t notice any caramel though. And the taste of the tea comes through too. I don’t see myself buying it, but I enjoyed the sample from Cameron B. I’ve had a different caramel corn tea that I prefer, but I don’t remember where it’s from…
Lupicia is definitely one of my favorite (if not my absolute favorite) flavored tea companies.
They’re so good! I just wish they had more herbal choices since I drink like four times more herbal than every other category put together, and I’d want to reach the free shipping minimum.
I’m trying to expand my stock of caffeine-free teas as well, which is hard when I don’t really like red rooibos much and the majority of fruit teas like a big ol’ cup of hibiscus…
I would definitely recommend their Golden Honey Dew and their flavored barley teas (not the Orzo ones, but the ones in bags). I seem to remember liking Caramel & Rum as well, if you’re into butterscotch and that sort of thing. Other than that, I haven’t tried many of their herbals.
Green rooibos is definitely the best rooibos!
Hmm thanks for the recommendations! I’m basically out of herbal stuff (well…compared to the variety I prefer to have around), so I’m looking to make a sizable order soon. It’s just hard to decide where to buy from when there are so many brands I want to try!
