finished my stash of this today, I have to say i’m not sorry to see it go…

Lemon Myrtle (organic) from DAVIDsTEA
87

Bought 10g. of this to try it.

the dry leaves smell like a lemon lollipop! mmm… this is promising.

steeped that smell is tenfold! i’m surrounded by it! liqueur is the color of lemon lollipops!

time to taste: very lemony without being sour, not sweet thought it’s like a sugarless lollipop, i’m going to sweeten this with some agave to see what happens, not the greatest result the tea ends up tasting fake… not great learn from my mistakes drink this clean.

Orange Blossom from DAVIDsTEA
Nettle Leaf (organic) from DAVIDsTEA

so i went to David’s tea and picked 10 g of all of their new teas to try them, no more buying 25g and then getting stuck with thing i hate.

dry leaves smell like grapefruit juice that’s been sitting on the counter too long and Irish spring i’m assuming that’s the nettle leaves

steeped it smells like Irish spring, and the liqueur is a weird greenish yellow color.

Time to taste: the grapefruit is there but very weak, then there’s the taste of the nettle leaves and i associate it with soap, so i’m tasting soap…

yeah wont finish this…keep thinking of soap….

Carrot Cake from DAVIDsTEA
79

Got a tin of this on boxing day for 50% off, it was pretty much the only tea that was on sale though….dissapointing

Dry leaves smell like carrots mostly but they are pretty to look at

Steeped the carrot smell comes out more and i can detect the coconut, the liqueur is a lovely orange color, very appropriate.

Time to taste: taste is like a watered down version of carrot cake, personnaly i’m missing the spices but everything else is spot on

wouldn’t buy this again but i won’t mind finishing this tin either.

Creme Brulee from DAVIDsTEA
74

Day 23 of my Advent Calendar,

Dry leaves smell super fruity having a hard time imagining Creme Brulée from this.

Steeped still smells super fruity but i’picking up hints of vanilla the liqueur is a nice orangey color.

Time to taste: this taste like tutti fruity bubble gum not creme brulée …. not bad but not what i was expecting either…

Coco Chai Rooibos from DAVIDsTEA

Day 21 of my advent calendar,

Didn’t drink this one as i hate this tea. really can’t deal with all of the spices…

Honeybee from DAVIDsTEA
94

Day 20 of my Advent Calendar.

Dry leaves smell like honey and tea.

Steeping i smell the honey bush and mate teas then the honey, lemon in the background there too. The Liqueur is a lovely warm honey color.

Time to taste: i taste honey but it isn’t sweet it’s kind of a weird association it tastes good I’m just not used to it, it’s velvety too and i can feel the caffeine already, maybe that’s psychosomatic lol. i think i’m gonna try this sweetened with agave.

better sweetened now i’m getting floral notes interesting tea adding this to my shopping list!

Mom's Apple Pie from DAVIDsTEA

Needed something warm and comforting on this icy day and this hit the spot!

Exotica from DAVIDsTEA

Day 19 of my Advent Calendar, i’m behind a little catching up today.

Dry Leaves I’m picking up cinnamon clove lemon coconut smells like a vacation!

Steeped i smell lemon cardamom cinnamon clove and coconut, the liqueur is a lovely lemon yellow color.

Time to taste: Cardamom, lemon, clove, the cardamom is overwhelming everything, the tea leaves a sweetness on the tongue thats nice i think that’s from the lemon, and lastly i get the coconut…this tea is not for me reminds me of the coco chai rooibos that i can’t stand

not rating this because i’m biased but if you like coco chai rooibos i’ll imagine you’ll like this too

Sweet Dreams (organic) from DAVIDsTEA

Day 18 of my advent Calendar

I’d like to start off by saying that i am not a fan of Chamomile teas.

dry leaves smell like chamomile, lemon grass and i’m noting a spiciness too.

Steeped it smells really lemony but i can still smell that darn chamomile, Liqueur is a nice amber color.

Time to taste: tart but not too much, chamomile and the licorice there at the end leaves a sweetness on the tongue.

I don’t think that this tea is for me being that i am not a chamomile lover, honestly i don’t think i’ll even finish my cup, but for someone who enjoys chamomile this is a winner.

Chocolate Rocket from DAVIDsTEA

Amaretto from DAVIDsTEA
85

More amaretto than alpine punch?

the dry leaves smell amazing, it’s enough to make you dizzy, mmmm i love amaretto

Steeping the smell is even stronger and the liqueur is a very light caramel color.

Time to taste: I taste toasted almonds sweet amaretto but not nearly as potent as the Alpine punch, if you like almonds but not a super strong flavor than this is for you.

Personally i’m glad i bought a tin of the Alpine punch because comparing the two it’s my favorite

Profile

Bio

HI there, I’m a 20 something csr rep. with a sensitive pallet and a love for anything that tastes good.

I’m fairly new to tea, a year ago i was a die hard coffee drinker, and then i got a free glass tea bottle and some blooming tea for christmas….that was the beginning of a new found obsession!

Forget flavored Coffee and all the milk and sugar i had to add to make it drinkable! now i have tea that i can drink straight up without all those extra calories!

I work about 5 minutes away from the David’s Tea head office, so you’ll notice that i mostly review those but i will try and trade with others so that i can get a taste of what else is out there!

Do not hesitate to PM me to discuss trades!

anyway that’s it for me, myself and I.
