2970 Tasting Notes
Due to a combination of exhaustion and frustration I went to bed with a migraine last night. Bleh.
Today I am feeling much better (though I am going to have to deal with a great deal more stupidity), and so I am going to have one of my favorite brews, to power me through the day.
Come on, Tower, you can do it!
Argh. Cannot sleep. Bring me more tea! Moar!
I’m still not convinced that this really works, but its not an unpleasant drink. And very strong, which is good, as I need a strong cup of tea today.
I’m coming to the conclusion that this tea is not entirely balanced. Its just a bit too heavy, all together.
The orange should lighten the spice, but somehow it makes it more dense, adds another layer of heaviness to this blend.
Its not unenjoyable, but it lacks balance.
New tin on the work desk is this fella!
I picked it up in my Black Friday Frenzy, and I perhaps should have read the description a little more carefully. A puher, and a chocolate tea? Neither are really my thing, but hey, I’ll give it a shot.
It needs a light steep, or else the whole thing gets too earthy for my taste, and it smells more strongly of chocolate than it tastes…
Hmmm.
I immediately distrust anything that promises a “flat belly”, or tries to act as an appetite suppressor. Not good things, generally speaking.
But I got a sample of this with a Tea Spot order a while ago, and its leaf smelled alright, so I figured what the heck.
What the heck is right .This blend was a very weird, tart, unpleasant thing, but now its gone from my cupboard, so thats all good.
Eeesh.
We are having bonkers weather lately. Today-hail.
Well, some lavender tea and hail sounds like just the thing for a Saturday afternoon.
I am down to two pages in my cupboard. Two pages! When was the last time it was there? Probably years. Eeek!
So close to my goal of 30 teas, and I am super excited and inspired to keep on sipping.
I brewed this too strong today, and it was a solid cup of spices. What happened to my citrus touch? It wandered off.
Oh well.
Today it is pouring down buckets! I wish I could be wrapped up, cozy at home, drinking tea all day and watching netflix.
Buuut no. Off to work I go. Oh well.
This is a good rainy day tea. You do need a light steep to balance the Lapsang and the Chai. Otherwise it gets too intense.
Glad you are feeling better!
