Today was my first exam and it was a shitshow. Now I’m no stranger to walking out of an exam and feeling like I failed but that was in undergrad when I never went to class or did a reading and basically expected to fail.
This course is actually the one I was most comfortable with for this exam term. I knew the info so well that people actually sought me out to answer their questions and I explained the course to multiple people. So walking out of this exam and feeling like I failed was crushing. I basically felt like if I was going to do badly like I did in undergrad anyways than why stress about studying. Obviously I know I need to study so I compromised (probably to my detriment) and took the evening off.
I also treated myself to a fancy milkshake and a meal. The meal ended up being bad since London isnt the best food city (especially coming from Toronto and Montreal) and it was expensive and just not great. However, my Squish order arrived today so things are looking up!
So now I have squish, drag race all stars, and this tea. Things are looking up.

Don’t stress about it. If you were as prepared for it, it’s very possible that it was a test designed to “fail” people and give them a shake up. Wouldn’t be the first time profs do it, won’t be the last. Either way, it’s over and you can focus on your other exams. You got this!
The day before the exam my prof told us that when he was going through old exams he realized they were asked to do a lot less with simpler facts and they were given more time. He said by the time he realized that, it was too late to change the exam and we’d all be in the same boat. It’s just frustrating because I keep thinking of things I know I wrote that was wrong or didn’t write so its incoherent.
It’s also possible that your answers were not as out there as you now imagine. And also possible that your prof will liberally apply generosity in marking, is. You cannot fail a whole class. Also, hugs.
I’m so sorry about the exam. Hugs.

So sorry. We have all been there. Hang in there, hopefully he will grade on a curve.
