I think I’m in love. This tea is so juicy, but it’s waking me up too, and it’s not too sweet or fruity or fake…guh. I so needed this today. This will make a lovely iced tea as well!

Assam black tea garnished with black currant leaves, blended with natural black currant flavors – a malty and fruity beverage.

I fell in love with black currant tea from a deli chain called Jason’s Deli. They offered an amazing iced black currant tea, real full on the mouth. Thankfully, I found a replacement! The tea is lush in black currant flavor. It tastes real, not artificial. I have only had it iced. It’s truly an uplifting tea, made with assam. I am a fan, and I will be buying this tea up!
This one is growing on me more with each sip. Decent fruit flavor (but could be a little fruitier for my tastes). Has a very malty, almost creamy flavor. Doesn’t need any milk added. Prepared with lots of stevia, I like my fruit teas pretty sweet.
This is one of my favorites. A nice blend of black and fruit flavors. The currant flavor holds its own but is not overpowering. I guess the description of “malty” is accurate for the black tea flavor. I usually drink this hot, but I think it would also make a nice iced tea. I prefer this tea with no milk or sweetener.
As a sidenote, although this tea is fairly strong (I use about a teaspoon of leaves in a large mug, maybe 16 oz), sometimes the color seems a bit weak. I usually swish around the infuser at the end of the steep, which darkens the color, and I’ve never noticed variation in the actual taste of the tea.
