I love fresh mangoes and fresh peaches, but I have yet to find a Mango and/or peach tea that I love. For some reason these flavors keep coming up as alright but not great for me, regardless of the tea base or the brand.

There’s a pattern for most of these mango/peach teas that the overall Steepster grade tends to be higher than mine. Maybe I have an over expectation of these teas. I want the taste of a fresh fruit blended with the tea, but to me the flavor mimics more the taste of the dried fruit with a slight I don’t know…maybe hay? undertone. I can see how others would say this tea is good, there’s a nice balance between the tea base and the flavors. I just think it’s not a taste that I personally go for. I’m glad I got to sample this in my Fruit try me pack, but it won’t be making my reorder list.

While Della Terra has a lot of really unique and tasty dessert teas, I’ve found that I really adore their fruity blends the best. Their Mother of Pearl is SO amazing, I could drink it all the damn time and be happy. So of course in my second order I had to pick up an ounce of this, since it’s gotten such good reviews and I do love mango. I’ve also learned recently that I like peach teas as well, when they’re done right.

I cold brewed this overnight in the fridge, and wow! Not Mother of Pearl wow, but still really really tasty. The peach is the most prominent flavor to me, with mango coming in at the end of the sip. The peach isn’t overpowering though, and you can also taste the base and a bit of the floral taste from the rose petals. Iced it is just perfect, so fruity and juicy! I love when fruit teas do taste like they have some juice squeezed in, it amazes me that flavoring can have this effect yet it does. Mmm! Definitely a winner, and I think I’ll need to have this an MoP in my cupboard at all times. Maybe I’ll even mix them together…

WOWZA!!!!!
Ummm I likey!
Sweet, fruity, slightly a vanilla flavor.
I was not expecting this to be so amazing!
SIGH yet another tea I need to order.
I am having it hot.
I am sure this would be absolutely perfection iced!
Oh my oh my what can I say - a new love has been found!

Still working on this sampler from the 10 dollar try me packs I purchased.
This has become my morning “go to” tea for those days when I don’t have time to steep a more delicate brew.
This is hardy, when I am half asleep still and hurrying around to get ready to take my daughter to work or run errands it is a no skills needed steep!
Even if I forget and over steep it – its always good – no excellent that is.
Such lovely flavors and can handle my blurred morning mind!
:)
Will absolutely re order this once my sampler is gone!

Yum! I made this this morning and then fell asleep after F1 qualifying. That’s okay because it was awesome hot, but I figured it’d be even better cold.

Hot, it was excellent. Super tasty fruit flavors, a little touch of floral from the petals. If I wasn’t so sleepy I would have kept sipping.

Cold, I start to taste vanilla or something giving it a creaminess almost. I love how much it smells like peaches. The fruit flavor just lingers after you drink it either hot or cold.

I wish I had gotten this one waaaaay earlier. I picked it in the try me pack I won, so thanks Della Terra Teas!

Oooh also I just bought a TON of lip balm making stuff…they are all going to be related to the teas I love. I’m gonna see if infusing oil with tea does anything really for flavor but I got a ton of cool flavoring oils anyway so they can still be like teas. I have enough stuff to make 300 tubes! (Though I only bought 100 tubes and seals for the time being lol) So I will sell those eventually once I get everything.

The sample I received didn’t say ICED on it so I will do a HOT review and a COLD review. Starting with the HOT

It smells AMAZING prior to infusing.

The taste is Mellow, Malty, near Creamy, with lovely mango and peach notes paired with a gentle-medium strength black tea base. The aftertaste has velvety-yet-floral and slightly fruity hints that linger.

This is a darling flavored black tea! Looking forward to the other half of cup that will be iced! Excellent HOT!

ICED…this IS REALLY nice! I like this one both HOT and COLD and can’t really decided which one I like better. They are both lovely! It might be even MORE velvety and creamy-smooth when cold. This is wonderful!

Love how this one smells, both dry and as it’s steeping. It’s like a bowl of juicy peaches and mangoes!

As for the taste, this is in-your-face tropical awesomeness. I bet this would be fabulous iced as well. Right now I’m contently in peach and mango heaven. Ahh. HAPPY.

Sipping a cup of this hot tonight. I’ve had it cold and hot now – cold is definitely better. When it’s cold steeped it’s like drinking sweet and juicy mangoes and peaches. Hot I can still taste the fruit but it’s understated, a little subtle. The fruit is there but not hogging the show.

I just finished grading 22 papers and I feel exhausted. There’s something about assigning points to a real and important subject matter that’s just draining. I feel like commenting, this matters to someone in real life. If I do badly on a Shakespeare paper, it doesn’t mess up Shakespeare’s life, after all.

Lately I feel very grateful for all the amazing things I have going on in my life, and deeply sad that so many wonderful people are having a hard time right now.

Second cup out of this sample, and again I could not finish my cup. Is it just me? this tasted nothing like mango, but more like… sour juice? the black base didn’t even make an appearance, except for some strange astringent note that mixed badly with the oddly sweet/sour part that I think was the mango.

I read the reviews before posting. I am sure I had to have done something wrong. This smells really good. The taste was just muted. Like all the flavors cancelled each other out. Shoot. I love peach teas. Long lingering aftertaste so maybe it is just my taste buds today. I will retry. It was much more flavorful once cold. Thanks Nicole I will try this again. No rating yet.

So this is a great tea! As my first tea from Della Terra Teas – it’s got me looking forward to the other 6 I have to try. The flavoring of the mango and the peach together is wonderful. I’d also really like to try this iced as I think it would be even better. A great tea for those who like peach and mango :)

Cold brew of this one as a sip down and it’s not quite what I was hoping for. The peach is the dominant flavour, and I can barely get hints of mango out of this. It’s not a bad tasting tea, but its not mango peach. It’s peach. Added a bit of sweetener to see if that helped and it was much the same. Ah we’ll, still a decent enough tea.

Mmmm… this is mighty cooling. It sounded so refreshing when I saw it on the site. It did not disappoint. The fruit flavors are very good, not fakey tasting. The tea base goes well with the fruits.

I can’t even tell you why I ordered the iced tea bags rather than the regular loose leaf version of this, but I would certainly keep either version in the stash. I also think my southern aunties would like this one. :)

Tried this in snow ice cream today. Mom & I made vanilla first and then started wondering if tea would make good snow ice cream.

Steeped about a tablespoon of this in 3/4 cup hot milk for about 5 minutes. Added 1/3 cup sugar, a dash of salt and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla and let it cool. Folded enough clean fluffy snow to make a firm ice milk.

It’s not bad. I love this tea cold but have never tried it with sugar or with milk. I’m not sure I like the fruit and milk together. Which is odd – I like peach ice cream. I think this experiment needs to be repeated with chai. Even though I’m not a spice ice cream person I do love milk with chai. Now… where to find more snow… :)

No rating since I’ve rated this tea before and this isn’t really a fair tea experience. :)

The final sipdown of the night, & another thank you to Azzrian.
I do love Peach, Mango, and Rose, but I have to admit this one didn’t really do it for me. It was ok, but maybe the flavors were just too Mellow. Oh well, can’t win em all, right?

This has been my favorite tea from Della Terra yet! After I burned through the try-me sized pack, I immediately had to go for another two ounces (and it helped that I’d won a coupon from them from one of their numerous, generous giveaways).

The smell is immediately comforting to me. “Mellow” is a really good descriptor – it’s juicy, floral and fruity (with two of my favorite fruits!), smelling almost like an exquisite candy. It’s excellent both hot and cold, sweetened and not. I’ve mostly been drinking it hot (where the creaminess seems most prominent for me), but when iced the mango and peach flavors really come out. It’s extremely refreshing and light that way, especially with a little honey added!

This one smells and tastes delicious. The dry tea smells of sweet mango and peach. Almost like candy.

The brewed tea has a light black tea base with sweet peach and mango flavour. Both peach and mango are present but I find the peach is more predominate.

Overall is very delicious. The black blend does not overtake the fruitiness, but the fruitiness is also not too sweet or fake. Impressed with the flavour profile of this tea.

Made this one as a cold brew. Brewed for approximately 12 hours. It turned out wonderful and I am glad that I tried it as a cold brew.

To me, it tastes like peach iced tea. The black tea base is very mellow with notes of peach. There are lighter notes of mango. There s also a very light note of vanilla. The tea has a slight fruity sweetness.

Very refreshing cold brewed tea.

Today is all about fruits and berries. I’m having this for my morning cuppa to get me ready for work, and then Southern Belle and Prarie Berry (both from DavidsTea) to get me through the day without going nuts.

This is like heaven. Damn it, Della Terra, you are killing me here! We’ve decided that when we get our tax refund, we’re going to do a huge Della Terra order. Yay! But the peachy mango goodness of this is awesome. It’s taking me back to the cruise. My wife’s favorite drink was a Kiss on the Lips, which involved peach and mango purée, so she will love this blend. I can see this being amazing iced.

I’ve got to stop starting out the day with the best teas, the rest of them just don’t measure up!

Digging around my “haven’t tried” tin, there’s a buncha Della Terra teas in there. DOH! I feel like fruity this morning, to go with a breakfast of leftover wedding fruit platter (strawberries, melons, dragon fruit, pomegranate, grapes, oranges, blackberries) and cottage cheese.

DRY: Fruity peachy sweet! Nice big hunks of fruit in this tea too!

STEEPED: smells of black tea mixed with peach and mango flavors.

TASTE: Black tea base taste, but mellowed out with the peach and mango flavors. Oddly, this tea is refreshing despite it being hot. I could see this tea being very good iced or cold brewed!
I didn’t feel like trying this tea sweetened this morning.

COMMENTS: Not bad, I enjoyed the peachy mango flavor – which is well done. However, this tea makes me think of Fusion Tea’s “Red Vineyard” which is quite similar, but is over the top peach instead of having mango. I should really try MMP iced next time!

Sip down, yeah! Gahh, I need to get under 200 teas!

Made this iced! The mango here came out a little different, mixing strongly with the rose. The peach is a great refreshing aftertaste, working well iced. Actually, this is better iced, the refreshingness is pretty good!

Gotta get ready for brazilian jiu jitsu. Bleh, no gi tonight, so overly sweaty class!

In general I love anything Della Terra makes. The tea base tastes fantastic and I did smell the mango and peach, but the peachy taste wasn’t as pronounced as I hoped. It was a good tea, but not as amazing as Eight Candles or Smores.

Sipdown 12. This is pretty good, but not as good as I had hoped. The dry leaf smelled of peaches, but there wasn’t much of mango scent. I tried this both hot and iced.

HOT
I’ve learned that I enjoy Della Terra’s black teas the most when using lots of leaf and a short steeping time. The results were pleasantly fruity. Much like the smell, I mostly tasted peaches. There was a hint of mango in the background, but frankly it was far too weak.

ICED
I steeped 2 tbsp. of tea in 16oz. of boiling water for 3 minutes, added in a squeeze of honey, and then transferred it to my 27 oz. water bottle filled to the brim with (good, fresh) ice. The results were not too bad, but nothing special. I was hoping that the mango might come out a bit more, but I still just tasted peaches. If anything, the fruit flavors were stronger as a hot tea, which is not what I would have expected.

Another one from my swap with azzrian. Having this one as my post-Christmas lunch tea. Lovely and sweet, very delicate black base too, not at all bitter. Very smooth. A nice dessertish tea to ease into my Christmas Day belly with no discomfort. And now, for doctor who proms!

I’ve been having a few cups of this over the last week, going through my sample from Azzrian. Its so warming and tasty, lovely to sip at work in this cool weather.

I tried this last night before I went to bed. It was ok. I’ve had better peach teas and I’ve had better mango teas. There was a bitter taste that I felt belonged to an un-ripe mango and I would have like a little more peach. I didn’t taste the base, but I wasn’t trying to hard because I was tired.

Now I’ve tried all the teas I got from the two try-me packs from Della Terra Teas. Most of the teas have been just ok. Some of them stood out to me: Cactus Flower, Lemon Pepper Melange, Lime Chiffon, and Jassmint. The rest were pretty average or just not my cup of tea.

I used the rest of my sample for an overnight cold-steep. I like it better this way than hot. It brings out the black base more and the two fruit flavors are more in balance with each other.

Of course the morning I have cold-steeped ice tea for my ride into work it’s chilly outside and freezing on the express bus and I don’t even want to drink it. It was 86 degrees yesterday. What happened? I’m enjoying about half of this now and I think I’ll save the other half for this afternoon. :-)
