Little splinters of Rooibos tea make up the dry tea blend; you can see small flecks of dried strawberry, but it is mostly rooibos tea. The dried leaves smell strongly like strawberry with a note of tea. The aroma of the brewed tea (hot, with no additives) smells strongly like strawberry with some citrus and peach aromas. The flavor is mild; rooibos with some strawberry and peach flavors. I brewed for a full six minutes which might have made the tropical fruits a little tart. However, I would call the tea mild, there is no overwhelming sweetness or tartness. Longer infusion time would probably make the tea more tart and adding sugar would make the tea more sweet.

Overall, I do not think this tea actually needs anything. It is pretty good in that it is mild with hints of tropical fruit flavors. I can see how this would make a nice blend with a green or a jasmine tea, but I think the tea was fine on it’s own.

Running low on this tea, so I thought I’d drink some this morning to help the supply dwindle a little more (not that I don’t like this tea or want it around—I just could use the tin space xD). It was pleasant as always, with that awesome nutty flavor from long-steeped rooibos. I’ve been steeping all rooibos teas a little longer than normal recently, and have had good results. I approve of the almost pecan-like flavor that sits on your tongue like a contentedly napping cat. :)

Anyway, I’ll make this one short. I love this tea, as it pairs beautifully with way more teas than Teavana lists here. I’ll probably get more eventually, just right now there are more pressing matters. Like tin space. Since moving in with the new hubby, I’ve discovered that we’re going to have to create a space outside of our tiny pantry in which to store tea, because there’s just not room for it all. Combined, we probably have around 70. It’s kind of mind blowing.

So I had this again last night. I don’t know how I tasted ginger last time and it didn’t taste medicinal on my second try, but it was pretty thoroughly underwhelming. And a bit tart. I kept thinking there was beetroot in it (the colour and flavour seemed right) but it must be the rhubarb coming through. I don’t really get the tropical flavours, even with using quite a lot more of it and steeping for 6 minutes.

I wouldn’t buy this again. It’s drinkable but really boring. To finish it off I’ll try steeping for less time to see if that changes the flavours, and probably just mixing it with other teas.

I got this tea quite recently from a friend as one of my birthday present. I have been trying it several times but still I feel a bit confused. When you smell on the tea, its a interesting scent. At first you can smell the sweetness if you don’t shake the dry tea. But when you shake the dry tea, it get like the bitterness from the orange peel and the aftertaste of strawberry.

The first time a drank it, the rooibos dominated the tea. I made the tea in a temperature of 93 degrees Celsius(200 F) for 5 minutes and I know I was thinking that the tea was very mild. It was a good tea, but it didn’t caught my attentions so much.

The second time I tasted it I drank it cold, actually by mistake because I forgot it while I was studying. Then I caught I stronger scent of strawberry but also the orange peels bitterness. The fruity flavours where stronger then, which is good. But on the other hand, it hasn’t made any marks afterwards.

The third time I tried drink it lukewarm with a fruit-plate with pears, apples, banana and pineapple, which emphasize the freshness of the orange and the sweetness of the strawberries. And I really liked it more with the fruit as a side dish.

I find this tea much as a experiment. You can drink it in many different forms and in some miraculous way it taste different every time. That’s way I am still confused. Perhaps I get a clearer view the next time.

Haha, did you red my review for this? I hated it so much! It was the only rooibos I had you hadn’t already tried… then again, maybe I should have tried it first myself, before sharing it.

Haha! I read your review after I wrote my own. I think it was fun to try something new, even though you haven’t tried it before. It’s a part of the tea experience ;) <3

The first tea I bought in years from Teavana! I find it to be very balanced with the fruity notes and the tangy and earthy flavors of the Rooibos that I do not not need to sweetened the tea at all. A touch of the paradise and sweet smell of tropical flair just whisks you off to turquoise blue waters on an a stretch of white sand beach in a cool humid day! I could just feel the breeze blowing in from the Caribbean sea just about now…

It is a good fruity tea. A bit strong on the fruit, so I added a little vanilla.

I’m trying to think of something interesting to say about this tea, but struggling. It’s a light, pleasant, fruity cup, not wildly exciting or complex, but nice. For me that is something special in that I’ve never been much of a fan of rooibos, so anything that can get me to find it pleasant is a bit of a gem. I’m always looking for new caffeine-free teas. I think I will enjoy drinking my 2oz of this but the jury is still out on whether I will buy it again when it is gone.

This tea is pleasingly sweet and fruity and blends very well with jasmine pearls.

Steeped 2 teaspoons in 16 oz for 5.5 minutes. Added 1 tsp of rock sugar.

Dried, this tea smells like bubblegum. Steeped, the smell is less intense. The taste is also less intense but I can taste the almost Froot Loops taste underneath the rooibos. Maybe it needs more sugar?

My overall reaction to this tea is: Meh.
