This tea is really delicious and you can pick easily strawberry.
It gives a very very fruity & sweet taste.

Rhubarb is more subtile and more complicated to detect but it arrives at after taste.

The black tea base is really perfect to reveal the flavours.
It’s not too mild but not too strong neither so this is tea to drink in the afternoon to my opinion.

On certain aspects it makes me think to the Thé du Hammam black leaf of Palais des thés.It contains red fruits and rhubarb as well.

I’m going to compare these 2 teas by drinking it one after the other and will put another note for that.

This is such a lovely tea. Thank you Ysaurella for this one!
I just got a steal on another Dammann Freres tea today on Fab but this was another option. I love this one and almost got it but the curious creature in me decided to go for one I have not had before.
Ysaurella sent me a generous sample of this one.
Its fruity but light, not overpowering with artificial flavors. Quite smooth, and a wonderful strawberry flavor with a tangy zest. Second steep is also delicious!

I’m not sure how i feel about this tea. It’s strawberry, less so rhubarb but there’s a floral taste in the background that i’m not sure yet how i feel about. I’ll have to try this again ina few days and see if there’s any change in how i feel.

Thank you Doulton for allowing me to sample this tea!

This is smooth, rich, fruity, sweet-tart and delicious. It isn’t my favorite Dammann Freres tea that I’ve tried, and that is actually kind of weird for me to declare, because, it seems that with every Dammann Freres tea that I do try, I have a “new” favorite.

That doesn’t mean I dislike this, I am enjoying it very much. YUM!

I tried this one out while working on my taxes.
It was ok, but probably not something I’d purchase.
However, I’m grateful for the opportunity to give it a try!
Thank you, Ysaurella!

Another sample sipdown! Thank you Ysaurella!
The St. Louis cardinals won, 10 – 1, completing a 4 game sweep of the Brewers.
This was my celebration tea, & victory is sweet! This lovely tea combines a blend of black teas with strawberries, rhubarb, & florals. It was a very nice cup, & Tony enjoyed it too!

Yesterday morning I woke up at quarter to three, courtesy of jetlag. I decided then to indulge in a nice teapot, while reading, before getting ready for the office, to make up for that way too early awakening. I picked up Jardin Bleu’s sample that Ysaurella had sent me, which kept calling my name but which I wanted to keep for a special day. Here it is.
The tea looks quite nice with little yellow and blue petals mixed with the tea leaves and also smells good dry.
Once brewed, the color is golden honey; the smell very pleasant.
The taste is very mellow, almost tart at first, very fruity, and at the same time there’s a bit of tanginess, a little something that makes it not overly sweet. The strawberry flavor is quite noticeable, but is however not domineering. I honestly did not recognize rhubarb, but I haven’t eaten any over the last 2 years and that probably makes it more difficult.
Overall it’s a very delicate brew, very easy to drink, and which I did not tire of. I could have brewed a second tea-pot right away, had I still been thirsty. While drinking it, I really had the feeling, blue was the perfect color to embody this tea: neither navy, nor baby blue, but sapphire blue, which is IMO neither cold nor warm, and very relaxing.
I’ve seen description of this tea as a morning tea. IMO, it’s much more an afternoon one.
I really look forward to my second and last brew of the sample and will most probably buy it sometime soon (after having emptied a bit my overfilled cupboard though).

So I was stuck at JFK airport for several hours on the day after Christmas, in the Jetblue terminal. Even though it was after 10pm, there were several thousand people in the terminal with various flight delays and all the bars and restaurants stayed open past midnight. In our gate area was a sit down bar and an espresso bar with Illy coffe products. They had tea also, of course, and I had not had the brand of tea they offered. They had a choice of Earl Grey, chai, a few others, but the one I had definitely never had was described to me by the young barista as “strawberry tea.”

Okay, sure, I thought. I’m stuck here for another hour. I’m a little chilly. Worst comes to worst I’ll put sugar and milk in it and think of it as a tea flavored strawberry shake.

Turns out it was perfectly yummy just as tea. The strawberry sweetness was quite pronounced, and it normally would have been “too fruity” for me, but for a comforting hot drink in a challenging environment, it was very pleasant. I’ll have it again.

I adore this tea. In general I tend not to like highly scented, flavored, or floral teas and prefer the pure stuff. But this very scented and flavored tea is almost addictive to me: it tastes like Provence in a bottle or liquid Provence. It’s intoxicating. However, I gave some of this to a friend and she hated it. So I think it’s the kind of thing one is likely to love and hate. If you like Monet you will probably like this tea.

I was bought a selection of teas from Dammann Freres after family visited paris i received this tea in a fantastic case of 4 with a lovely gold covered infuser. This tea was very refreshing and smooth on the pallet not too sweet, short aftertaste and medium tolow viscousity very enjoyable

It is a gift from my friend Véronique. She asked for a tea who was like me. After having described me (I don’t know in which terms exactly), she went out of the tea boutique with Jardin Bleu. I loved it from the first smell opening the box. It is always the same pleasure drinking it, iced or hot. It is a candy, with no need of sugar. Perfect for summertime.

This is a perennial favourite at my house for many reasons. My wife and I discovered this at an all-night bistro on the night we met, and the taste and aromas added to the magic of that night – neither of us had ever tasted anything remotely like it.

Dammann Frères recently sent us a package of it as a gift for the tenth anniversary of that night. They are a wonderful company, and their teas are of an exceptional quality.

The strawberry aromas can seem over the top at first, and one expects a very fruity cup but the tartness of the rhubarb and mild hints of vanilla mellow it. The black tea is mild and produces a pleasing reddish liquor. It is pleasant chilled in the summer, and wonderful hot with a drop or two of milk. No sweetener necessary.

I was initially put off by this tea..it smells sweet and flowery. But I’ve decided its not half bad. It doesn’t brew like it smells, but still has a light sweetness…more fruit than flower. I’ve mentally assigned this tea to an “afternoon tea” slot.
