thank you kallieboo! for this sample as well. HOLY JEEPERS this is SWEEEEEET! it smells divine…chocolate banana but man i can’t drink this because it is a walking talking cup of sugar. Maybe i’ll try the rest of my sample as a latte to see if that helps with the sweet fact because this could be a pretty darn delicious tea….if it weren’t so sweet. omg. seriously. wow.

Tea #8 of iceday sipdown

Got this one from Jackie.

The dry notes are fruity, but not bananaey, a slightly chocolaty.
Steeped it smells banana like but also metal like. Which I often get from herbals.
This is delicious, very banana, slightly sweet, a touch of chocolate. So flippen good. It tastes like a milkshake.

I hope this wasn’t seasonal or anything… I haven’t seen it in my store.

I went in for my free cup of tea and somehow walked out with this. The aroma is chocolate bananas. The flavor is pretty sweet. Chocolate banana with hints of caramel. It’s smooth and creamy though. Super sugary aftertaste :\

Ok so I’m guilty of loving Teavana’s herbal dessert teas. I’ve been checking back with my local Teavana to see if they’ve gotten this in yet and yesterday they finally had it!! I ordered 2 oz and when the manager said “For this 4.5 oz you would only pay $18” I said “I don’t know if I like it yet, 2 is good.”

Now I’m almost through the 2 oz because the chunks in the tea are large, there are pieces of dried bananas that really complete the flavor but there aren’t a ton of them. The first cup I had I brewed a little too long for my taste, it was very sweet and tangy, to me it was really similar to Azteca Fire, which I love. The second cup I made sure to get some banana pieces and BAM…delicious. I brewed it for less time, probably 5 minutes, and it was still sweet but the tangy tartness wasn’t there and I could taste the caramel and chocolate as well.

Banana lovers or dessert tea lovers, try this! It’s not like out of this world good but since I love dessert teas, and this is an herbal, I can drink it at night in my bath without worrying about being up for all hours!

I had two delicious steeps of this tea this afternoon. It tastes a lot like Copabanana to me, which is definitely not a bad thing. I had a $10 off coupon with Teavana, so I got a few herbal blends to try out. So far, I’m quite enjoying them.

This tastes a lot like Banana Dream Pie from DT… I think comparing the two I would have to give more points to the Teavana’s version. For one, it is a herbal tea so it wins a point there. I am always looking for something I can have at night. I also love how the dried leaves look, with nice big chucks of banana and chocolate. Of course the big chucks means that it is heavier, which in the end you don’t get much tea for the 50 grams.

As the name implies , it is a perfect combination of banana and chocolate. A really nice night time treat.

This is my first dessert tea purchase. I had just had a slice of pizza at the mall and was craving something to cleanse the garlic out of my mouth.. like a dessert. I ventured over to Teavana and looked around and the sales person showed me the new teas. I was intrigued by the chocolate tea – something I would normally not be interested in.. but I wanted dessert!

So, I had her make me a glass (she put 2 tsp of rock sugar in it) and took it back to my office. Yum! Now granted, I have nothing to compare this to but my first glass was great. I did not buy any loose but will go back and get some possibly next week. I really think this tea could keep my hands out of the cookie jar after dinner! :)

After drinking several more flavors since this one, I’m going to say that I don’t really like this one quite as much as the first time I had it.

Holy Bananas! It really does taste like chocolate bananas. If you’ve ever tried a chocolate covered banana then you have to try this tea. The dry smell is unique. Chocolatey of course, but with slight fruitiness to it. It’s also dairy free with is a big plus in this family.

This tea smells absolutely fantastic. However, I took quite some time to steep in order to get any of the flavor you want. This is still a great tea and I would love to enjoy it again.

I bought this tea with several others from Teavana’s spring collection of new teas. I was really skeptical of a chocolate tea—I tend to prefer spicier black teas. WOW, was I blown away! I absolutely love this tea and it tastes spectacular sweetened with honey or unsweetened. I recommend steeping this tea double the usual time as it can be a bit on the milder side. I find it tastes fantastic when paired with a snickerdoodle-type cookie such as Lucy’s Gluten Free Cinnamon Thins. Really fantastic tea for anyone seeking a great dessert tea! I don’t really taste the banana, but the overall blend is perfect.

What can I say but this is some beautiful stuff. Prior to steeping, this one resembles a bag of mixed dried fruit. The smell, OMG, absolutely delicious…just like chocolate and bananas foster. Teavana nailed this on the head! Steeped, it brews up a pale yellowish amber color, but the aroma still remains. Surprisingly, this is incredibly pleasing on the tongue. You can taste subtle bites of chocolate and unripened banana which plays seductively with a natural sweetness. Very smooth but robust blend. I will definitely be buying this again.
