I thought I’d adore this!! but somehow… I don’t :(
Now, it does fill a gap in my tea cupboard so I’m not complaining. Much.
Bare, it reminds me alot of that blueberry green tea I tried the other day. I wonder if it was contaminated? I had them in the same carrier bag for a few days. Hrm.
Anyhow. With some sugar, I can pick out alot more of the lime note. And with some milk, it tastes just like key lime pie filling! with some Senna on the side, which is what I disliked about the tea which may have contaminated this one. Not bad, really, just not what I was expecting considering my love for Lemon Chiffon.

It’s decided. I do not enjoy this tea. I can see how it tastes and feels like pudding, kindof. I guess. (grumbles)
The lemon version is so amazing. I wish I knew why I feel so differently about this!
I can drink this, if I need to. I mean it’s not a “wincing” tea, you know where you make a little face with every sip?

Speaking of teas with similar profiles(see previous note), I made a cup of Espresso matcha as a latte, and it turned out SUPER floral in the same way I find this one. Turns out the espresso one is floral only when hot and I usually have it in a smoothie or bottle shaken. Sighs. I really wanted my coffee/matcha latte!

Thought I’d end my evening with a tea that I was pretty sure I’d be happy with after the last few. I really enjoy lemon chiffon from della terra, so I wanted to see how the lime held up. Now it’s been a while since I had the lemon, but I’m for sure going to be trying to Side by side in the near future as I think they’re both pretty good. It’s not quite Limey enough for me, but it it a creamy lime that I am enjoying. I think between this and lime gelato I’m probably good on lime for a bit. :)

If you like limes, and you enjoyed della Terra’s lemon chiffon, pick up a sample of this one. As near as I can remember the lemon chiffon, this one is a bit more citrusier. Yes that’s a word today lol

iPads and sliding scales don’t do well together. Ill fix this tomorrow but rating is around 85 or so.

190! Sip down!

Woot woot! Of course there will be teas added shortly increasing that back up again but at least now I feel like my cupboard is under control. Now to spend some time drinking up my larger bags of tea. May have to do a butiki week or marriage freres week lol

Still digging this one. Ill likely keep at least one of Della Terra’s rooibos blends in the cupboard permanently. :)

Had a tasty cup of this tonight to compare it against the champion (by a slight margin) in my lemon chiffon trial lol. I think i like the zing that the lime brings just a weeee bit more than the lemon square taste of the lemon chiffon.

Sipdown count at the end of today? 216 (behind in my target by 8 teas) but still potentially on track to at least get under 200 by Friday, which i think? is when Dinosara is back!

So needed to end the night with something I knew that I’d like. Not nearly as far along in my sipdowns as I’d like but I have a couple now, just on the edge heh. Standing count tonight is 220 with 4 days to go…still like 10 teas a day but I think I can manage it lol

I’m just so thankful for sample sizes….maybe I’ll celebrate if I can get to 150 by posting in the swap thread to help slim down some of my bigger bags of things. Really excited about the travelling tea box even if it is forever away from now. Hopefully some new teas to try with that and some goodies to share with others.

Today was a good day.

So today I am trying a bunch of new teas that I have had sitting here since earlier this week and just haven’t had time to get to! So here’s another Della Terra one I am trying today :) earlier this week I tried the Lemon Lime Cream tart and was quite impressed, I didn’t log a note on it though. Maybe I will try it after this one to compare these two, and maybe my Lemon Chiffon while I’m at it!

This one smells sooo limey and good in the bag. Definitely key lime pie. Not much lime bitterness either. I steeped for 4 minutes. The steeped smell is not quite as lime and a bit more of the cream (yay cream!) but the lime is definitely there. There isn’t a strong rooibos smell in this one either.

Ooh, this is another really good rooibos. Lemon Chiffon definitely has some competition! This is smooth and very much natural lime tasting, with the lovely cream to tone it down and make for a sweeter aftertaste. I will definitely have to brew up some Lemon Lime Cream Tart to see how the lime tastes compare. This is delicious and pie-like, while Lemon Chiffon was more cake like to me. Maybe because there’s more lime pies than cakes? Lol, all these creamy, delicious teas are making me sleepy! Might have to have a little nap, as I am finally relaxing from the week. Anyways, back on track here…

Overall, another stellar rooibos from Della Terra. I’m not sure which of the three lemon/lime rooibos’ (sp?) is my favorite, but after a few more steeps of each of them, maybe I will have come to a decision about which one will be the one to keep in stock. Or I’ll just keep them all in stock. :D

Oh, and as this tastes like lime pie, Happy Pi Day!!!

Going to be doing some backlogs here (ok actually only 2 haha). Had a delicious cup of this while my friend had a cup of Lemon Lime Cream Tart yesterday, so tasty! See previous notes :)

I’m a cup away from a sipdown on my Lemon Chiffon, but this one was yelling out to me tonight. Maybe because it’s a bit fresher and a bit different flavor than the lemon. Anyways, having a delicious cup right now. Della Terra rooibos’ rock my socks off!! See previous notes on this delicious tea!

OhMyGoodness, this one smells so good. The aroma from just opening the bag smells just like a rich key lime pie. The tea itself smells very softly of fresh limes. Without adding sweetener, the flavor is mostly rooibos with just a hint of lime. Adding sweetener brings out more of the sweet lime flavor with a note of the creamy chiffon. Adding milk adds a little creaminess, but not much. This really is a wonderful cup, especially right before bed. I love lime flavored things, and am so happy that this one lived up to my high hopes. It may be a little lighter in the lime flavor and less tart than I wanted, but it’s a nice, mellow cup. I’m just happy that the rooibos isn’t too strong!

-Dry blend has small pieces of red rooibos and long pieces of lemongrass with pieces of lime peel.
-Dry leaves smell like sweet key lime pie. Tea liquor aroma is lightly of fresh lime.
-Tea liquor is a clear medium reddish orange color.
-Rooibos flavor and finish with a hint of lime and creamy chiffon. Light rooibos aftertaste.
-Best with sweetener. Milk optional.
-Good tea. Mellow and light creamy lime flavor. Little rooibos noticeable.

After a few okayish teas, this is my reward goodnight sleepytime dessert tea. I am going to drink this while I eat a big bowl of knock-off cocoa puffs.

Chocolate cereal is the best. :D

Also, why haven’t I rated this tea yet? I should do a proper rating sometime in the future. I love this tea though. I should get more. Also, now that I know the lemon chiffon is honeybush and different enough, I should try it too.

Tried some teas today and some were good and some were blah. To make up for the blah ones I made this because it’s SO AWESOME.

Can’t wait for my Della Terra order to arrive so I can compare this to the lemon lime tart. (Also I can’t wait for my Butiki order, and my Bluebird order, and my Amoda tea box. And then… no more orders. But I’ll still be under 100 teas!)

Thankfully this is rooibos because I completely forgot it was steeping!

Beforehand, I smelled the lemon lime cream tart tea and this one, I definitely like the cream tart one more because of the lemon. That addition is just toooooo good.

This isn’t bad though. I thought maybe with my way too long steep it would have been heavy on the cream too but it really wasn’t. Also I don’t really like the lime flavor too much. It actually tastes too much like lemon to me. I suppose the really long steep may not have helped.

I was expecting this to be really tart so I’m glad it isn’t. But I’ll have to pay attention next time and see if I like it better.

Hah! My gamble on getting 2oz. of this without even trying it was successful! I swear, I opened this one up and it smells just like key lime pie!! Yum!! Steeped, it still smells true, so I crossed my fingers that it tasted such as well… and yep. Tastes like lime fluff. It’s just a touch bitter, but I suspect a shorter infusion will help with that – I’m thinking that it’s the citrus peel that’s causing it. A re-steep is not too bad either, though I should have used even less water than I did.

Tea #1 that came along to my tea meetup with Sil, Indigobloom and Raritea! We seriously spent about 6 hours just doling out teas. Not even kidding. All in all, a super fun day! I should definitely be asleep now.

This one was tasty in the thermos, as I expected. Once lukewarm, it tasted a bit thin though, which I wasn’t particularly fond of, although the flavour remained delicious.

Just…. yum. Better than lemon chiffon, so I will sip the rest of that down soon, hopefully, and focus on this one. Mmmmmmm.

This is the first of many teas I will be reviewing for the three DT try-me packs I had to buy! 30% off sale that included the try-me packs this time! I bought three try-me packs a while ago but they are always introducing new blends that I have to try! They all sound amazing and usually taste amazing too. I wanted to try the lime chiffon first since I heard it isn’t as good as the lemon (I think I got samples of ALL the lime/lemon teas.. they made up a whole try-me pack! Also… they sent me a blackberry cream that isn’t even on the site, so that must be a new one!) But WOW, this one is so good! Equal parts lime and cream. I love that the tanginess of the lime is amazing with the sweet cream. The rooibos is hardly noticeable, for those who don’t love rooibos. It’s kind of a shame since DT’s rooibos base is delicious on its own… I think I like their rooibos base better than their black tea base. But with these flavors, I’m not complaining! It kind of reminds me of the flavor of some of 52Teas blends for some reason. Lime meringue pie! Can’t wait to try the others if this is supposedly the worst one?!?

I first had this tea as a nice sample from jessiwrites (Thank you!) I enjoyed the sample so much that I jumped online and ordered 4 oz. When I first sipped this blend, I was thinking of all of those yummy citrus desserts. Lemon meringue/chiffon/cream pie teas are some of my favorites.. but I had never tried a LIME tea.

Once this tea hit my tongue, I was thrilled! It was lime and rooibos hugged with a very light, sugary cream. What I love about this tea is that even though it smells like artificial lime Skittles, that it tastes like authentic lime. Ever since I’ve purchased a big pouch, I have noticed that the cups I brew are a bit inconsistent. Sometimes I taste mostly lime with something artificial. Other times, I taste that creamy citrusy cup that I adored from the start!

If each cup could taste like the first, this tea would be one of my favorites. Quite tasty otherwise, though.

The new Chiffon offering is amazing! If you have had the Lemon Chiffon and loved it (which everyone does.. check the reviews) you have to try the lime! I’m not a big fan of lemon but loved the lemon chiffon and frequently have it as a night time wind down tea. The Lemon Chiffon has been replaced by Lime Chiffon! So refreshing. So limey. Amazing tea that lights up my night time cup. And I used 2 min steeping so I could have multiple infusions.

15 minutes after finishing the cup – I STILL taste the lime. It is completely coating my mouth in this amazing lime goodness.

2nd steep (3 mins) – The tea retained most of its ridiculously strong lime taste. Is absolutely amazing. Loving this tea.

This is an easy rooibos blend to drink. The citrus flavour is like a tart lime sherbert and is followed by creamy pudding that blankets everything. The rooibos is indistinguishable. I prefer fruity desserts to chocolaty ones so this acts as a great, equally satisfying substitute, if I’m craving sweets.

Out of the three citrus rooibos blends from Della Terra I thought I’d like this one the best but, with flash judgment, I think I may prefer the other two with the lemon a tiny bit more. I’d still be happy with any of the three, though. Thanks Cavocorax for giving me the chance to try two of them consecutively!

This is from my very first Della Terra order. I’d wanted more Lemon Chiffon, but they were out. So I got this instead.

The aroma is wonderful dry, and still really nice brewed. I like lime, but I’m picky lime flavoured anything. This is like drinking a key lime pie. I really liked the creamy lime flavour.

I don’t know why this is surprising that I like this so much, but it is. Rooibos blends tend to be hit or miss for me, but this has gotten some really great reviews. I’m curious about the Lemon Chiffon now, but I can’t drink that because of the honeybush so I’m just stuck with this one. The ingredient list doesn’t mention honeybush in the lime blend here so I’m really hoping I don’t have a reaction to this.

This is nicely limey with a decent creamy taste to it. It’s not subtle, which is good for me, and it’s very much nice. Thanks to Sil for this sample.

Yum!

This tea smells super rooibos-y when I just sniff it, but if you can get past that and actually take a sip, it’s lime all the way. Wow! It definitely reminds me of pie.

I don’t have much to say. I spent the afternoon at work lifting heavy things when I shouldn’t be lifting things, came home and had a cola with rum to make up for that terrible Cherry Cola tea. But I think it might actually be time to sleep, not time to drink more tea.

I needed something without caffeine, and an eenie-meenie-miney-moe through my non-caffeinated tea box came up with this one.

I love the flavour, even though I don’t love the rooibos. Heh. Something to drink to the very end, but I will think long and hard about reordering.

Yum!
I think I like this one more than lemon chiffon & i definitely like it better than lemon lime cream tart.

Im not convinced this is lime tasting, but rather just citrus. I do wish it was a bit more creamy, but it is quite delicious.

Every holloween I cant wait to get a bag of flavored tootsie rolls just so I can pick out all the lime ones!!! This tea taste exactly like my favorite tootsie roll, I cant get enough. A must have! Half way through I added a little sweetener, nope it didn’t need it.

It’s been a long & busy weekend. I feel like I haven’t really gotten to drink as much tea as I like, all of my teas were drank while I was driving from here to there, practicing like a crazy woman, etc. It’s also been a wonderful weekend of performances, which I’ve truly enjoyed, so it’s all good. So now I’m hanging in my PJs, sipping.

This is an interesting tea. It’s a creamy lime pudding kind of flavor, & pleasantly so. The citrus covers up the rooibos taste somewhat.
Not sure if I like the lemon or the lime chiffon better, but I think it will probably be the lemon. Thanks Sil, for letting me sample these 2 teas!

When I open this bag, it smells like the same slightly carmel-y lemongrass base as the lemon chiffon, but with a sharp lime scent that practically makes my mouth water! The creamy taste mellows out the lime, but it doesn’t take away all of it’s tart kick. I have tried it hot and cold, with sugar, with and without milk. It’s delicious any way I make it. The lime taste really does linger after each sip and I have been going through the bag quickly. I took a chance with ordering a full 2oz before trying it and I’m glad I did because I’m really enjoying the crap out of this tea!

I decided to get a little adventurous. I put a teaspoon worth of tea, half cup of rum and a tablespoon of sugar in a jar and left it overnight in the fridge. I tried it the next day and it tasted good, but SUPER strong. So I tried mixing it with some lime flavored soda water and it absolutely killed it. I still had some of the rum-sugar-tea mix left and decided to marinate a slab of ahi tuna in it (about 5 minutes on each side since I was in a hurry). I then pan seared the tuna, pouring half the rum in when searing it on each side. It was a little on the sweet side and a lot on the delicious side with the lime complementing the fish well! I think I might try it with shrimp next time and also try using a smoother rum to begin with. Or maybe I’ll try it on a rum cake! I bet that would be crazy good!

Dilute flavour. Slight creaminess. Sugary aftertaste. Lime flavour throughout. I would prefer this flavouring with a green tea base.

Got a sample of this from Jessiwrites, I quite enjoyed it! I do prefer lemon over lime and this was rather limey (a little disclaimer – I’ve been watching An Idiot Abroad so I’m basically writing this with a British accent)… But this does remind me a bit of one of the first Davidsteas I fell in love with, the now discontinued Lemon Cream Pie.

I’m not a huge fan of rooibos teas where you can really taste the rooibos, I find this one does a pretty good job of blending all the flavors together in such a way that it compliments the rooibos, so they all balance out.

It does taste like a lime dessert, I would just prefer lemon. I’m not sure if that one is still available but I would definitely order it! Replacing the lime with lemon would make this tea perfect to me, but it really is tasty, and a great caffeine free option.

Mmmmmm. So creamy and limey and vanillariffic.
Rooibos is not overly noticeable and that’s just how I like it!

It brewed up a nice rich brown. Very flavorful. awesome.

Totally worth owning all three.
